Wondering what to wear this summer?

Which color?

We’re gonna have you covered! We’re working on a new t-shirt that we’re so excited about, there will be no pre-order for it, and we’re not letting slip its design until the day it goes on sale.

What we would love your help on is the color of the shirt itself. The image on the shirt will be black and white. Knowing that, which color(s) of shirt would you be more likely to wear? You may choose up to three. We’re going to narrow it down to the Top 5, and make a decision from there.

Edit:  Some people are asking about white, which I thoughtlessly left off of the options.  We’re going to add it to the poll.  If you’ve already voted but white would TOTALLY be your choice instead, feel free to voice it in the comments below.

There is no option for a white shirt?

Banana, no one ever wears Banana and they all wear black.

It would be nice to have an option other than black or dark gray. It seems like all the webcomics I enjoy sell only black shirts, and I don’t buy black shirts because they’re hot and don’t look good on me. I see that a white shirt isn’t even under consideration.

I didn’t put white on there because I was told NO ONE ever buys white t-shirts. Which I thought was totally weird.

If the image going on the shirt is white and black, would the image show up on a black or white t shirt anyways?

    Listen to Neil Gaiman.

Black tees are the way to go.

Black shirts are overrated. They get little bits of lint and hair on them immediately and it shows really prominently. Plus they look “emo”. Yellow is a little too “loud” in my opinion, but I like the different shades of green and the orange a lot. Also, brown shirts are always classy. I’d buy a burgundy shirt ten times before I’d buy a black shirt.

Do I get to vote if I’m not going to buy one? I don’t wear t-shirts.

Well, maybe I’ll buy one for a friend. Who knows.

Either way, I guess the point is moot, since I’ve already voted.

Always with the black tee shirts! Always! You Internet people. Fashion victims always, by design! Wear your soon-to-be-a-dark-faded-grey-due-to-improper-washing black shirts with your heads hung low.

It’s kind of hard to vote on what color to go with when you don’t know the design - even the most utilitarian of designs won’t look good on all colors.

    (Looks at the voting results)

I am voting for a white t-shirt. As long as the design is not a white design on a black block then the design would look very good on a plain white t. Plus, with summer coming up it will be alot cooler then a hot black t.

how bout gray if the image is white and black grey should look good either way (more white than black and vise verse)

I voted for khaki, but if there was a Chocolate Brown option that would be my first choice.

All the t-shirts I actually wear are black, white, and a light gray. Lately I have been partial to my gray shirts though.

I’d like a nice olive drab or gray, since most of my T shirts are those colours. I would also enjoy a reasonable (Non shit coloured) brown.

I can’t believe that Black and Royal Blue are beating out my favored Khaki and Orange Poppy! Well, I can. This is the internet. Oh well, another black shirt for the closet, I guess. I would rather vote for “Have Straub do what he feels is right, of course”.

Because I am a kiss-ass, and that’s the only way Khaki or Orange Poppy can win this thing over Black!

If its a shirt for summer, the obvious choice would be white. deflect all those nasty heat waves, and keep yourself relatively cool while wearing your cool shirt :D.

p.s. black is a horrible color for summer, unless you’re going for that “cooked in an oven” look thats so popular among the living dead.

I’d like a white one as well :)

Too many options! Head possibly… exploding… no, wait, I’m fine. But seriously that is a lot of options and I can’t pick just three. I mean, the red or the royal blue would look good on me, but how awesome would it be to wear something called “Kelly Green” or “Orange Poppy?” And the khaki could be useful for camoflague purposes.

It’d be easier to vote for what I don’t want: you wouldn’t catch me dead in burgundy (that’s some crazy ivy league colour right there) and I wouldn’t wish banana on anybody tall and thin, lest they fall victim to baboon attacks. As for black and white, eh; if I’m going to wear a wacky Internet shirt, I want it to be noticeable.

“Have Straub do what he feels is right, of course”

If that were the case, you’d end up with kiwi green! That’s the one he and I both love.

Anything OTHER than black, PLEASE! Can we ever have a geek-centric shirt that’s not the absence of color?! Kiwi Green is wonderful! Bright, cheery, not-black! If you want to drown your wardrobe in your emo sorrows, go buy out Hot Topic.

I *suspect* we’re going to end up doing a black one (because some people are devotees), and a color one. Because black is clearly going to win, but I don’t think that should be the ONLY option.

What about grey or “Heather” ?

“What about grey or “Heather” ?”

Space Pirate is grey, so we didn’t want to repeat that color.

I could live with Kiwi Green. Kiwi Green is one of my five favorite poll choices, and, for choosing this color, you both must have the Herculean brains of demigods over which flows a bounty of milk and honey and the strong, healthy brain-children dance and laugh among the flowerbeds of poppies and daisies within your fragrant craniums. Surely, a single serving size of either of your brains would be an eternally-satisfying nectar of ambrosia to a zombie, be they the laziest zombie trapped in a french fry machine or the most affluent zombie in all of Zombie Peru.
